The morning and evening adhkar are a collection of Quranic verses and prophetic supplications that Muslims recite each day for protection, blessings, and closeness to Allah.
The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Whoever says in the morning: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadir' one hundred times โ it will be equivalent to freeing ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be written for him, one hundred bad deeds will be erased..." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
When to Recite Morning Adhkar
Morning adhkar time: After Fajr prayer until just before Dhuhr (midday). The best time is right after the Fajr prayer while sitting in your prayer spot.
Morning Adhkar
1. Ayatul Kursi (Once)

Recite the full Ayatul Kursi (Quran 2:255). The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after every obligatory prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering Paradise except death." (Al-Nasa'i)
2. Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas (Three times each)
Recite each surah three times. The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Say: He is Allah, [who is] One, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas โ three times in the morning and evening, and they will suffice you against everything." (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi)
3. Sayyidul Istighfar (Once)
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุฃูููุชู ุฑูุจููู ููุง ุฅููููู ุฅููููุง ุฃูููุชูุ ุฎูููููุชูููู ููุฃูููุง ุนูุจูุฏููู...
Transliteration: "Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduka, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbi faghfir li fa'innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta"
Meaning: "O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You. You created me and I am Your servant. I am upon Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your grace upon me, and I acknowledge my sin. Forgive me, for none forgives sins except You."
The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Whoever says this during the day with certainty and dies before evening, he will be among the people of Paradise. And whoever says it at night with certainty and dies before morning, he will be among the people of Paradise." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
4. Dua for Protection (Three times)
Transliteration: "Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wala fis-sama'i wa huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim"
Meaning: "In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing is harmed on earth or in the sky, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
Recite three times in the morning and evening. The Prophet ๏ทบ said nothing will harm you suddenly that day.
5. Radheetu Billahi Rabba (Three times)
Transliteration: "Radheetu billahi Rabba, wa bil-Islami dinan, wa bi-Muhammadin Nabiyya"
Meaning: "I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ๏ทบ as my Prophet."
Evening Adhkar
Evening adhkar time: After Asr prayer until Isha, or more specifically from the time the sun begins to set. Ideally recited after Asr or before Maghrib.
The evening adhkar are largely the same as the morning adhkar but substitute certain phrases. For example, where morning duas say "we have reached the morning" (asbahna), evening duas say "we have reached the evening" (amsayna).
Key Evening Dua
Arabic:
ุฃูู ูุณูููููุง ููุฃูู ูุณูู ุงููู ููููู ูููููููุ ููุงููุญูู ูุฏู ูููููููุ ููุง ุฅููููู ุฅููููุง ุงูููููู ููุญูุฏููู ููุง ุดูุฑูููู ููููุ ูููู ุงููู ููููู ูููููู ุงููุญูู ูุฏู ูููููู ุนูููู ููููู ุดูููุกู ููุฏููุฑู
Transliteration: "Amsayna wa amsal-mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah, la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadir"
Meaning: "We have reached the evening and the kingdom belongs to Allah. Praise is to Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things competent."
The Tasbihat (After Fajr and Maghrib)
Recite each of the following 33 times after Fajr and Maghrib:

Then once: "La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir"
The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Whoever glorifies Allah (SubhanAllah) 33 times, praises Allah (Alhamdulillah) 33 times, and magnifies Allah (Allahu Akbar) 33 times after every prayer... his sins will be forgiven even if they are as much as the foam of the sea." (Sahih Muslim)

- Use a tasbeeh (prayer beads) to count
- Be present โ understand the meaning as you recite
- Start with one or two duas if the full collection feels overwhelming
- Consistency is more beloved to Allah than large quantities done irregularly
